Hi There, I'm Sri Thakur Mahasaya das

Last year I was looking of a holiday, to work out a few aches and pains, wanted a little gentle exercise and also stay somewhere friendly. I did a Google search, and found Holistic Holidays.

It sounded perfect, sun, vegetarian food (where they will follow special diets). I'd never tried Hatha Yoga so it would be a few firsts for me, not to mention being on my own.

I thought I would mainly be on my own, but I was wrong there, everyone was very friendly and we soon became a small family, I would chant by the pool each morning and was asked about our practice of Krishna consciousness. Lynne and Stuart made everyone feel welcome, as did all the staff and therapists. Lynne's approach to yoga is very gentle and designed for all people from outright beginners like me to other yoga teachers.

My only criticism if any is that there was not enough meals at the villa, they make a balance between eating in and out, as most want to visit the sites and try the various eateries around the island. It would also have been nice to be able to for everyone, but there were health and safety problems with that, maybe that might be a possibility in the future. We did have nice cold buffets which we did prepare ourselves. The food at the villa was well prepared and took into account my no - eggs, meat and fish diet, and the morning breakfast was always beautifully prepared, especially the fruit platter, which looked like it had just come from Krishna's plate.

It might be a little unusual to recommend a non-devotee place, but these guys really try, the atmosphere was like an ashram, very peaceful, I had a mind blowing treatment from Christina, she amalgamates so many disciplines into one treatment, the results are different for each person as is the treatment, Peter's Shiatsu massage was fantastic, I felt three inches taller and without a ache, for the first time in years. Alexander also gave me a great massage, which left me floating on air.

I will be going back, and the really nice thing is that male or female you will feel welcome and most of all safe. Click on the logo below to go to their website. Below is a a short paragraph from the HoHo site... and a picture of the villa from the pool, which unfortunately doesn't show the the gardens.
